Kim Pixa is a DJ and producer based in Prague, his name raised the last years slowly on the international scene with respect for his unique sound and performance.
Everything started 21 years ago in Czech Republic. Kim became a resident with his college Wega as WeKi (Wega+Kim) in the worldwide legendary club Roxy Prague (10 years residency) and was the main face of Czech Republic Dance Scene. Contracts with the most popular festivals and brands like Coca-Cola, O2 Telefonica etc. just followed.
A dream came true for a young boy.
Weki split-up in 2010 and Kim started his solo career. Traveling became his passion and inspiration. He was playing around the world in America, Europe, Africa in countries like Peru, Brazil, Spain, France, UK, Germany, Italy, Egypt and so on.
One day he stranded in Malta where he met the producer Dean Demanuele this was the start of their collaboration. 2013 Kim joined exclusively Dean Demanuele’s record label ‘Dazed & Confused’ and his booking agency ‘Raven Music Agency’.
Kim Pixa started to produce electronic music in 1995 and till now he collaborated with some of the scene’s biggest names – including with Marc Romboy, Xenia Beliayeva, Ken Ishii, Martin Landsky, André Winter, Dean Demanuele, Deepchild, Oliver Klein, James Harcourt, Shades of Gray and created with them few known hits. Kim’s tracks were supported and played by Pig & Dan, Sasha, Riva Starr, Richie Hawtin, Oliver Huntemann, Gorge, Agoria, Slam, Mauro Piccoto, Tom Novy and many others. His releases are available on labels like Systematic Recordings, Dazed & Confused, Sun Recordings, Le Mans, Tretmühle, Beef Records and others.
Nowadays Kim prefers to play his own new music – underground deep house (120 – 124bpm) build up with live classical instruments, shivering perfusions, nice synth melodies and catchy vocals. His sound is very fresh and has a different vibe to offer. The style is closer to music from Henrik Schwarz, Damian Lazarus, Ame.
